God’s presence is the greatest gift- Text: Zephaniah 3:16-20 [165]

Note

  • The greatest gift of God for his people is his presence. The greatest answer you can ever receive from God after prayers is his presence.
  • The Lord your God is mighty…he will rejoice over thee with joy.
  • The greatest breakthrough you have is to look around and see that God is with you.
  • 1 John 5:15-17…you need God’s presence because the world is wicked.
  • If you pray for God to give you money or a house and God gives you his presence, you have everything; you have more than enough because in his presence there is fullness of joy.

Why do you need his presence?

  1. You need joy to draw from the well of salvation. You need joy to access God’s presence. Psalm 100:1-5.
  2. You need his presence because there are mountains. Psalm 114:1-7. Some people cry and criticize God over the mountains in their lives. The Philistine giant (Goliath) was threatening the children of Israel for over 40 years, but God used David to defeat him. 1 Sam 17-49, because in Sam 16:13, Samuel anointed David, and the spirit of God was upon David from that day forward.
  3. The Lord will be with you so that you can accomplish your mandate in destiny: life with no vision does not have fulfillment. A person who doesn’t know what they are doing will not go far in life. What can you hold for posterity’s sake that this is what you did in life? What is your mandate? Mark 16:16-20, Matt 28:18-20. Where there’s no mandate, there’s no vision, and where there’s no vision, God can’t be with you. Every time you are raised for a divine mission, you will see God’s presence. Everyone who is on the go with a divine mandate will also have a power pack to back him up. John 3:2, Acts 10:34-38…be with me, Lord. God will change your story. No matter what people say to you, God hears and listens to your response or reaction, because he is a silent listener in every conversation. Eze 33:30-32. Gen 39:1-4.

How his presence comes

  1. Breath: when the presence of God comes, even struggling businesses will gain life. When you are not engaging in spiritual things to fulfill your mandate in destiny, you are gathering spiritual moth.
  2. The fear of God: When you despise God and you don’t honor him, he will also despise you. Daniel 6:23
  3. Working in Obedience: God was with Abraham everywhere because his obedience was top-notch. Gal 3:13-14. Especially the obedience of soul winning. John 14:22-24. When you don’t love God, it shows by not obeying him.
  4. Saturate your atmosphere with praise and worship: talk to God he hears.
