Positioning Yourself for Your Season of Double Favour Text: Ecclesiastes 9:1-11. [165]

  • You may be swift and not win the race, you may be a very fast person and not win the race, you may be strong and not win the battle, you may be wise, but yet poor

Four things that may be the outcome of everyone’s life

  1. Understanding of the purpose; you will get to the point where status doesn’t matter, but knowing what to do
  2. The right people; no matter what God has promised you, he will use the right channels to do
  3. Skill: God gives you gifting and potential so that the right people will come to you. God placed potential so that you won’t lack food. It doesn’t matter your age, if you’re not adding value, don’t complain, every man runs to people who add value to them. We all carry gifting, but some people are careless about their giftings. You can’t carry a gift and be eliminated, Dan 5:11
  4. Time, purpose, and giftings are not shared equally. Only time is shared equally, but to make use of it, you must understand your time; whether the opportunity or giftings are before God and man, it must be done within the time. If there’s any level you have not gotten to, then there’s time that you misused, that’s why a stitch in time saves nine. You will miss quite a lot of opportunities if you misuse time, even if you are from a good background. Time wasters are the most foolish people on earth. If God kept you alive, it is because of a purpose. Eccl 3:1-6…God brings you into a season and apportions to you a purpose

[  ] If you can take seasons and invest in them, you will not have need to be sorrowful, Isah 55: 8-11, the word of God is looking to find expression in your life,  but you are nowhere to be found.

[  ] The case you have is of no consequence; what matters is the season and catching up with the season, Psalm 102:13

Why you need to understand the time and season

  1. When God aligns you to a purpose and season, there are men God brings to help you achieve that. When God says he will bless you, there are individuals he has positioned to make it happen
  2. Favour travels; may favour get to your joint, there’s a program of favour. The program of God cannot be spoiled; God will use another vessel to accomplish it
  3. You are getting old. There are blessings that only your children can take, don’t close their doors
  4. Every season, there is a bonanza; you use less stress to accomplish great things. 1Chro 20:32

How do you know your season?

  1. Position properly: do not be distracted. Open your heart, your eyes, and your mouth in this season of Oh Lord Remember Me
  2. Have a joyful heart: Neh 8:10. Don’t be depressed, carry a joyful heart.
  3. Be intentional: know what you are looking for and follow it with your heart
  4. Be tireless: it is not time to give in to weakness, be tireless, do not take no for an answer, Luke 18:7-8
  5. Ignite your faith: don’t stagger in your faith, Rom 4:16-22…believe and God will qualify you
  6. Focus: distraction has its consequences, and it comes in two phases: pleasure and pressure. What you like can distract you, and what you hate can also distract you.
  7. Be on time: you can’t be missing when it is your season. Everything can wait. When you seek God early, you will find him, Psalm 63:1-2. Catch every word of blessing, listen while the program is on so that you will know when you own comes.
