Consciously Operating in God’s Mercy. Text: Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 [165]

NOTE

  • Many times, the problem of the world is a lack of attention, absent-mindedness, we do things without being watchful of the things we do…Eccl 5:1-3
  • When you come into the house of God, be conscious that you are in the presence of God 1Pet 5:5-6…your adversary, the devil, is like a roaring lion.
  • You may be in church, but not converted. True conversion is in Christ
  • The mercy of God is so powerful that it can deliver from the grave

3 Aspects to help operate in God’s mercy

  1. Our Thought: The first earth God created, he destroyed it with the flood. God said I regret creating man. The imagination of their heart is continually evil. Gen… many of us have not been able to organize ourselves because we have not been able to control our thoughts. Psalm 139:1-2…David’s declaration to God about his thoughts. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he… a man is driven by his lust, the way to sustain the purity if your body is to renew your mind, Rom 12:1-2. When a person is not born again. He breathed the life that animals breathe, but when you have the life of Christ, you breathe the breath of life. Psalm 45:1-2. You are thinking right, so you don’t stink. If you can control your mind, you can control life. Think right, once you start thinking right, everything changes. Your mind is important to God.
  2. The Words of your mouth need mercy. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. If anything will live, it has to be from your mouth, cos death and life are in the power of the tongue. Unrighteousness ignites certain spiritual movements. Pro 13: 34, Psalm 57: 1-3, Job 23:14, 34²⁹-³³, there are forces on this earth that only purity can take away, this version of you cannot handle the blessing, God is saying “clean up”. Sin will block your ear; we need mercy. Isah 59:1-2, Heb 12:14, there must be a difference between you as a believer and those who are unbelievers. If you stand with God and for God, God will stand with you and for you. Heb 4:13-15…all things are naked before God; the very essence of Christianity is fulfillment. Jesus was tempted just like us. The anointing attracts evil people; if you’re living holy, you must place boundaries; this flesh is very powerful, don’t underrate it. Psalm 74:20…Once you are born again, any sin you commit, there’s a satan watching you, keep the fire burning, don’t let it go out. If you’re going very far, you don’t carry much load; the church is just a gathering of different people.
  3. Psalm 141:1-3, Jam 3:4-8…the power of silence. This life has a pattern. Before God actions are weighed.

  • You are free!

  • God has shown me mercy, and that mercy will work in my life. Amen
  • Have mercy on my mind, Lord.
