Building up Faith for Wholeness Pt II Text: Luke 1:37 [165]

Note

* Every divine provision in the scripture has a way or pattern to access. Whatever God has kept for you as a child of God in this kingdom, there’s a way to take delivery of it.

* Availability does not mean accessibility. It is one thing for a thing to be available and another thing to have the ability or capacity to access it.

* If God says I will bless you financially, how can it be?

* The questions that place a responsibility on you are the easiest ones that bring answers.

* In Acts 16…Many times, we don’t ask questions, but we demand answers. Mary asked, “How can these things be?” Luke 1:35-45.

* Until your faith is in place, performances don’t happen.

* The promises of God are the revelation of his plan. But the performance comes when you have what it takes to draw it out. Even when we don’t believe, God cannot deny himself because he abideth faithfully. If you don’t believe him, it does not make him less of the God he is.

* Your faith is required for your desired breakthrough, healing and wholeness. God is not moved.

Importance of faith

  1. It pleases God: anything done outside faith before God is sin. Heb 11:6. They’re very good Muslims and hidden who will not make heaven; they do not believe in Jesus. Without faith it is impossible to please God. If you don’t have faith, your goodness is as a filthy rag before God. The authenticity of your relationship with God is your faith in him.
  2. Our faith life is our real life: every other aspect of our life is not our real life. Gal 2:20…your faith life is the real life; that is where your life is measured. Every other life is temporal.
  3. Our faith makes us become: it makes us what we were created and ordained to be. John 1:11&12. Becoming takes faith. We came into this world carrying all the capacity to become. Luke 2:40&49, 52…Jesus grew because the grace of God was put to use. John 1:16 Faith is what we put into use to take the step. Everything grows. There are individuals who, since they gave their life to Christ, have never served any purpose in church; they become a burden. No growth, no change, no advancement. Don’t measure time. Some destinies can enter before other people’s destinies come in. Faith helps you become. If you’re not becoming before the eyes of God, then you’re a burden. God desires more for you to become than to get. Anything you desire in life once your faith stops working in that area, you have stopped becoming, and the process of growth in that area has ended. Pro 4:18…Shine more! Faith is a builder (Jude 1:20). Faith and wisdom come hand in hand
  4. Faith is the only mover if God’s hand is. There’s a place for compassion, but faith moves. Isaiah 53:1. If you don’t believe you cannot get God to do it. Faith builds. Nobody can build you; it is a personal decision. Take faith and responsibility to build and work on yourself.
  5. It makes the word of God profitable: Heb 4:2… the profitability of the word depends largely on faith that is added to it. We stand by faith and live by faith. We’re saved by grace through faith. No vision runs without faith. Nobody can believe in you when you don’t believe in yourself and God, even if the vision was given to you by God himself. If you do not believe, the vision dies, and it becomes an illusion on the spot. Nature doesn’t have such leverage where people will follow you for what you don’t believe. God has already dropped a deposit of faith in every man. Rom 12:3. Our daily life and activities are a practice of faith.

Sources of true faith

  1. Hearing the word of God: Rom 10:17. As the word is coming, your faith is being aroused. If you want more miracles, have more faith. Acts 6:4-7. Once the word of God increases, and when faith increases, miracles also multiply.
  2. The voice of God: the voice of the Lord is like the sound of many waters. The limitation of some people’s faith is not personal development but fellowship with God intensively and intentionally until you begin to hear his voice. When you’re too much in a hurry to express yourself, out of his presence you can’t hear him. Get to the place of fellowship with God, and your atmosphere will be saturated. Sometimes he wants to speak to you, but you’re too noisy and sometimes nosy. Give God 1 hr of presence and you will hear his voice. Sings worship songs that will stir your atmosphere to hear his voice. All of a sudden spiritually your atmosphere is open. The devil will be distracting you with many things, but the God who you are worshipping is listening, and when you have generated enough faith and get to the mercy seat, he agrees with you, and then he speaks to you. Then when you finish praying, he goes with you everywhere to perfect it because you have generated enough grace. Heb 10:35. It is the father’s good pleasure to give you all things. If you’re too busy to fellowship with God, then you’re too busy to be blessed.

How to arouse your faith

  1. Stay with God, and your faith will rise. Study the word; meditate on the word.
  2. The church is called the household of faith. Church services are appointments with God. If you keep appointments with God, he cannot disappoint you.
  3. Declare the word: no matter what you see, just say the word
  4. Add boldness to the declaration. Don’t be timid. Acts 14:4, Proverbs 28:1
  5. Believe: James 2:26. Even if you don’t have testimony of what you’re believing God for, hear the testimonies of others.
