The Power of Listening for Wonders [165]

Note

* There are different powers to attract wonders.

* Power of sanctification, Joshua 3:5

* Powers of obedience

* Power in following John 13:17

* Power in praise

* The power of listening for wonders—if you hear well, you will do well.

* The potency of your hearing will determine the potency of your miracle.

* John 5:25…if you hear, wonders will happen in your life.

* Luke 8:18…if you hear well, more will be given to you. But if you don’t hear well, even the one you have will be taken from you.

* Isaiah 30:21…the word you hear will direct you on the path to take.

* A wonder is God’s work that reveals our human mentality and frailty. It tells us how powerful God is and how ordinary we are.

* A wonder refers to an extraordinary thing that is beyond the known, and it points to the mighty thing that God can do.

* God makes wonders so people will follow you. Psalm 40:3, 77:14

* Wonders don’t happen except if you do something for them to happen. You must be the one to attract wonder; you must be actively involved for wonders to happen in your life. Gen 13:14…everyone has a role to play for wonders to happen for you.

* The man by the pool of Bethesda obeyed the instruction on his part. The mother of Jesus asked his disciples to obey. Wonders don’t just happen unless you play your part.

* If you don’t hear the voice and make a move, you will fall.

* Wonders are not selective of who to happen to; it is the person who selects if they want to experience wonder.

* The woman with the issue of blood experienced wonders because she settled it in her heart, and the moment she did, God answered it.

* There’s always something to do for the wonders to happen. There’s always an instruction to obey for wonders to happen.

* God has something to do. How prepared are you?

* 1 Sam 3:11…until you’re trained to hear your caller, you may likely be missing the guidance, message, and wonders.

* If you’re still struggling with the word of God, you will struggle with wonder. The word of God is quick and powerful.

* Many times, we’re too quick to act but slow to hear.

* 1 Kings 18:1-11, 19:10…the greatest access that we can get with God is through our ears. If only you could listen, God is trying to tell you something. God will not struggle for you to listen to him; he won’t struggle for your attention when there are people seeking his attention.

* Give God that attention and you will see wonders.

What we get when we listen.

* We get instructions.

* Directions,

* Miracles,

* We see wonders and

  • Then we have knowledge.

Who to listen to:

  1. Holy Spirit: Many people have lost their place in destiny because they listen to men instead of listening to God. If you keep going to people, you will be farther from God. John 14:26.
  2. Man of God: Heb 13:17. Exo 18:19.
