Why do We Fast? [165]

1. The flesh is a strong factor. Many people on earth are being ruled by their flesh.
If you don’t put the flesh in its place, it will destroy your entire destiny.
This flesh can decide where the spirit will live in eternity.

2.There is no purpose of God that the carnal mind can fulfil.
When you’re working in the flesh, it is hard to obey God.

3.Fasting subdues the flesh and allows the spirit to grow so that throughout the year, the flesh won’t control you, the spirit will control you. This is why you fast.

4.There are certain realms you can’t access until you deal with your flesh.
To be able to operate in certain realms of the spirit, there are certain demands.

5.You can fast and open your heavens because there’s certainly nothing that’s impossible with God.

6.The rating of your destiny is not in your height, it’s in your depth. It’s in how deeply rooted you are in God.
