  • Every family is made by God
  • We don’t have the power to select our families, God puts us in our family, not by our choice
  • Every family has family grace and family disgrace
  • Exo 4:20-23, Rom 8:26-29. Everyone in Christ is firstborn among many brethren. Exo 13:2, Num 3:13. Neh 10:36,
  • What happens to the first determines the outcome of the rest. Pro 3:10
  • For every family …
    1. There are family foundations
    • Some foundations are laid very wrongly. Eph 6:1-3. Love is not enough to marry. What God desires is that you cleanse them and not hide them, cos what you hide will be uncovered soon.
    1. Family operations.
    2. Family secrets.
    3. Family histories.
    • Sometimes these family histories have a way of telling you about the family and you pass it to other generations to come.
    • Tell your children where you met your spouse

    How to build your family in Christ

    1. Family worship. This is important cos there’s a blessing that comes to the family. Zechariah 14:16-17.
    • Be sure where your children go to worship when they’re far from home
    • Do family worship every day, imbibe the culture of praying with your children, and teach them to pray even when you’re not there
    1. Bless your family
